Monica
Puig, President and
Founder Latin Business Club of
America (LBCA). Editor, LatinBiz
As
president of LBCA, Monica is responsible for client relations,
strategic planning and media relations. She is the editor of
Latinbiz magazine and the radio host of Biztalk airing Friday's at
1:30 pm on South Florida
's WKAT 1360 am.
Monica
has over twenty years extensive experience in marketing and public
relations. Prior to founding the Latin Business Club of
America, she worked extensively with the set up, business
development and sales (in the English, Spanish and Creole speaking
markets), and national expansion (including franchising) of various
US
corporations. She was also a business columnist for Tiempos del
Mundo an international weekly newspaper with national distribution
in the
United States
and in 17 Latin American countries. She
was also the host of the business segment in the weekly TV
show Hoy Miami.
Monica has
a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies from
Nova
Southeastern
University
and a Hispanic Media certification in "Locución y Periodísmo"
Hispanic Media Communications from
St. Thomas
University. She has received the Key to
Miami-Dade
County
from Mayor Alex Penelas and the key to the City of
Coral Gables
from Mayor Don Slesnick. In 2006, she received a
proclamation from Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez and the Successful
Business Woman of the Year Award from The Latin Chamber of
Commerce of the United States (CAMACOL). In 2002, Monica received
both a Proclamation from then Miami-Dade County Mayor Penelas and a
Certificate of Appreciation in recognition for her valuable
contribution to the community. She was also honored as "One of
Miami's Leading International Women Executives" by the Florida
Foreign Trade Association, World Trade Center Miami and several
bi-national chambers, and is listed in Marquis Who's Who in American
Women. In 2002, she received the Ambassador for Peace Award as
a responsible public media. In 2005 Monica was one of the three
executives selected by LatinaStyle magazine to speak in
their panel during their annual business series in
Miami.
She
is a member of Rotary Club of Miami, Nova Southeastern University
Alumni Association International, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity
International. Since 2000, she has served in the Executive Committee
of The Miami Latin Film Festival, a non-for-profit organization
committed to promoting Hispanic culture and supporting the growth of
the Latin Film Industry in Miami. As
a working
mother
herself, Monica supports programs that work to improve the quality
of life and expand opportunities for women and children
in
South Florida
. As a member of the media, she often addresses such women's issues
as education, self-development, healthcare, economic empowerment,
aging and violence. She is on the Board of
Directors of Family
of Humanity, a non-for-profit organization dedicated to seeing
and guiding the human potential. Due
to her knowledge of South Florida's Latin business community and her
devotion to bring awareness to significant issues affecting said
community, Monica has
made numerous television and radio appearances and has been profiled
in many business and cultural publications.

Mark
Sandate, CEO and Partner
With 15 years of
success in organizational management and leadership in the business
and military arenas, Mark Sandate is a dedicated and
results-oriented advisor whose goal is to identify the challenges
facing small and mid-size businesses and design practical solutions
that meet the goals of each entrepreneur.
Mark Sandate became a partner in LBCA in 2007. He
is responsible for the development of new business alliances in the
growth and infrastructure of LBCA national. Mark is executing
the necessary steps for LBCA to open chapters to provide small
business owners nationwide with the opportunity to locally
participate in LBCA's 360º relationship marketing.
